Fried Rice Vermicelli with Clams

Treat yourself and your family to this quick and sophistocated dish with fresh and meaty clams. Paired with springy and chewy rice vermicelli, you will be in for a treat with robust flavours and complementary textures. 

Ready in 20 mins (2-3 Servings)


500gm Seagift Flower Clams (Lala)
200gm Rice vermicelli (soaked to soften and drained)
3 gloves Garlic (finely chopped)
2 gloves Shallot (finely chopped)
1 Spring onion( thinly sliced)

2 Tbsp Vegetable oil
4 Chili padi, chopped
2 Tbsp Cooking wine
1 tbsp light soy sauce
Sesame oil (dash)
Pepper (dash)


1. Heat vegetable oil in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add in garlic, shallot and chili padi and saute till fragrant and lightly brown.
2. Add the clams and stir fry for 1-2 minutes
3. Add the cooking wine, soy sauce and dash of sesame oil.
4. Add rice vermicelli and mix well with the ingredients for 5 minutes until sauce is absorbed.
5. Taste and adjust seasoning with pepper. Garnish with spring onion
6. Serve while hot!
